The 2026 YZF-R7 closely bridges the gap between he YZF-R3 and YZF-R9 with a number of updates, aligning itself with it's bigger siblings while providing real world performance in a middle weight package. Updated R-World styling, suspension, steering geometry, and YCC-T throttle along with a full electronic suite make the R7 an ideal machine, on and off the track.
Equipped with YCC-T and a 6 -axis IMU, the 2026 YZF-R7 places a full electronics suite in the hands of the rider. Features such as traction control, slide control, electronic engine braking management, lift control, launch control, and 3rd generation bi-directional quick shifter make the R7 a formidable machine on and off the track.
Updated SuperSport Chassis
Revised steering geometry and updated suspension transform the R7 into an even better SuperSport mount. Updated steering geometry improves cornering performance while the new KYB forks separate compression and rebound dampening circuitry similar to the R9.
Updated R-World Styling
Taking queues from the R9 and R1, the YZF-R7 is equipped with new headlights and front air intake. Updated front turn signals are now integrated into the mirrors, creating a sportier look and simplifying track preparations.
Maximum torque of 49.4 ft-lb produced at 6,500 rpm
Maximum power at 9,000 rpm
3rd generation Quick Shift System (QSS) allows for clutchless upshifts and downshifts
Assist and Slipper clutch reduces clutch lever force providing seamless downshifts and a controlled feeling
270-degree crank gives an uneven firing sequence with a distinct exhaust note that emphasizes the feeling of torque during acceleration.
Forged aluminum pistons with direct-plated cylinders integrated with the crank case makes for lighter weight and excellent strength at higher temperatures, ensuring reliability at higher rpm.
CHASSIS
A high-strength steel frame with a rigid-mount center brace provides an optimized balance of rigidity for linear and nimble responsiveness.
Next generation R-Series styling, with the slimmest bodywork in the supersport lineup
The slim design reduces wind resistance for optimal aerodynamics with new bodywork that incorporates the rider's body to influence the flow of air around the bike.
The iconic R-Series M-shaped intake duct and twin-eye look compliments the all-new YZF-R7 along with an adaptive bi-functional LED headlight.
Low-profile fuel tank design and compact clip-on handlebar position allow the rider to naturally grip the machine for confidence, especially when tucking aggressively behind the windscreen on the racetrack.
41 mm upside-down fork with 120 mm of wheel travel and separate compression and rebound circuits
Adjustable link-type Monocross rear suspension with 130 mm (5.1") of wheel travel
Adjustable for spring preload and rebound
Full electronics suite similar to the R9 and R1
520 chain and sprockets
298 mm front brake discs
Lightweight, spin-forged aluminum wheels
5" full -colour TFT instrument panel provides all the relevant data, with 5 display themes including track mode.
Not only do LEDs offer long life with minimal power draw, they provide brilliant illumination for confidence and visibility day or night.
